Time & numbers
Tell the time and handle numbers in Thai. This topic unpicks Thailand's hour-by-hour clock system — ตีห้า (5 a.m.), แปดโมงเช้า (8 a.m.), บ่าย (early afternoon), ห้าโมงเย็น (5 p.m.) and สี่ทุ่ม (10 p.m.) — plus เที่ยง (noon) and เที่ยงคืน (midnight), minutes and ครึ่ง (half past). It then builds counting and classifiers — โหล (a dozen), หมื่น (ten thousand), ล้าน (million) — through tickets, eggs, populations and even a decimal. All 30 sentences are recorded by native speakers and come with English translations and word-by-word notes, so this tricky system sinks in by ear.
