Buddhism: Forest monks & the Vinaya

Talk about the forest tradition in Thai. This fifth part of Buddhism follows พระป่า (forest monks) and พระธุดงค์ (wandering monks) — meditation retreats at a วัดสายกรรมฐาน (meditation-lineage temple), ขันติ (patient endurance), มรณานุสติ (mindfulness of death) — then turns to discipline and robes: พระวินัย (the Vinaya), the fortnightly ปาฏิโมกข์ (Patimokkha), the ไตรจีวร (triple robe) and sewing and dyeing for กรานกฐิน (the kathina). All 15 sentences are recorded by native speakers and come with English translations and word-by-word notes, so the monastic vocabulary sinks in by ear.
