LINE is Thailand's dominant messaging app — used for chatting, contacting shops and services, and official announcements alike. Sharing an address or contact over LINE is completely standard.

Most Thai mobile users are on prepaid SIMs topped up with credit (เติมเงิน) at shops or 7-Elevens, rather than monthly contracts — so a SIM 'expiring' is a routine thing to watch.
