Run errands and stock the bathroom in Thai. This second part of Household supplies starts at the post office — จดหมาย (letters), แสตมป์ (stamps), a ซองจดหมาย (envelope), โปสการ์ด (postcards) and a พัสดุ (parcel) — then covers personal care and cleaning: โฟมล้างหน้า (face wash), น้ำยาบ้วนปาก (mouthwash), ผ้าอนามัย (sanitary pads), ยากันยุง (mosquito repellent), น้ำยาถูพื้น (floor cleaner) and เทียน (candles) for power cuts. ต่างจังหวัด literally means 'a different province' — anywhere outside Bangkok. Sending post and parcels home to family ต่างจังหวัด is a routine part of city life.
