นั่ง (nâng) literally means 'to sit', but it's also the everyday verb for going somewhere by a vehicle you ride in — so จะนั่งอะไรกลับ here means 'what shall we take/ride back', not 'what shall we sit on'. Thais นั่ง a bus, train, taxi or boat; ขับ (kàp) is to drive one yourself.
