This third part of Clothing & appearance covers dressing สุภาพ (politely), the ชุดไทย (Thai dress), fabrics like ผ้าฝ้าย (cotton), ลายดอก (floral prints) versus สีพื้น (plain colours), clothes that are ขาด (torn) or ยับ (creased) — plus accessories, from an เข็มขัด (belt) to a ผ้าคลุมไหล่ (shawl), and looks: ทันสมัย (modern), ดูเด็ก (young-looking), a หนวด (moustache), เครา (beard) or ทำสีผม (dyed hair). Entering a temple you must dress neatly, so no shorts.
