"Tourist pricing" is a real thing — at some markets, taxis and even a few attractions, foreigners may be quoted higher prices. Agreeing the price first, or knowing the standard rate, avoids it.

Tipping in Thailand is modest and optional, not a fixed percentage like the US or UK — leaving the small change or rounding up is the norm.
