Homes & housing: Features & fittings

Talk about the practical side of a Thai home. This second part of Homes & housing covers the โรงรถ (garage), building in ไม้สัก (teak), planning a ต่อเติม (extension), dealing with the เจ้าของบ้าน (landlord) — and the fittings Thai houses rely on: มุ้งลวด (window screens), เหล็กดัด (iron grilles), a แท็งก์น้ำ (water tank) for outages and a กันสาด (awning) for the rain, plus what makes a good ทำเล (location). All 13 sentences are recorded by native speakers and come with English translations and word-by-word notes, so the housing vocabulary sticks by ear.
